How We Work

At Audrey Alberts Design (AAD), our work process always begins with a thorough assessment of client needs, desires and budgetary concerns. Working in close collaboration with clients, architects and contractors, we then follow a series of distinct phases, each with its own set of progressive steps.

-Phase I, Schematic Design: In this initial stage, we work to establish a conceptual design direction. Several alternative furniture layouts are developed and presented, along with options for colors, materials, furniture and furnishings. A preliminary budget estimate is also assembled.

-Phase II, Design Development: With the design direction in place, this second phase finalizes all design details. Vendor purchase orders are approved, along with fabric cuttings and finish samples, and orders are processed (vendors generally require a 50% deposit with purchase order initiation). Shipping, storage and delivery logistics are coordinated.

-Phase III, Design Installation: This is the final stage of the project. We bring together all elements of the design scheme including vendors, delivery services, and sub-contractors.
